Welcome back to school!
It’s the first week of kindergarten! Are you ready?
First things first…
Every school year is completely different and one can really only prepare so much! I’d like to say from one fellow teacher to another: We’ve got this!
One of the biggest hurdles I face during the first week of kindergarten is getting my kids to loosen up in a completely new environment. Truly, the first few days can be daunting- especially for a child that has been home all summer long!

I created these printable worksheets for Kindergarten students (Pre-K to 2nd Grade students too!) to kickstart the school year in a fun and creative way! After all, the most important thing during the first days of preschool is to help the kids feel comfortable and secure in the classroom. These writing worksheets will definitely encourage students to get to know themselves and their peers better. Circle Time will be more insightful as your little ones share their stories and experiences!

Let’s get the conversation started…
Part of our Back to School Activities collection includes this set of 100 All About Me Conversation Starters which are best used as part of your getting-to-know-you exercises where you and the kids can take turns in answering thought-provoking questions. These are also perfect to use all year round for morning meeting activities, daily check-ins, and simply as literacy center decorations.
